CNSWFL was created in April 2003 and is the private, nonprofit lead agency that administers the child welfare system in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades Counties.     Friends of Foster Children Forever has changed its name to Fostering Success. The new name better reflects the organization’s mission to provide educational and enrichment opportunities that assist in the future success of foster children between the ages of zero to 23.

    Friends of Foster Children Forever is pleased to announce Ann Hughes was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Ann leads the day-to-day operations of the organizations, advocates for foster children at speaking engagements, and oversees each department to allow all to run smoothly.

    Friends of Foster Children Forever is pleased to announce Anjeza At Gjergii was promoted to Accounting Manager. Anjeza works with each department to allocate the proper funding to each program that supports the needs of foster children.

  • Friends of Foster Children Forever Announces New Board

    Friends of Foster Children Forever announces the new board for the 2024 fiscal year, beginning on July 1, 2023. The new board includes Elaine Rubin Moorin, Chair; Rebecca Lambert, Immediate Past Chair; Janet Gable, Vice Chair; Kathy VanOort, Treasurer; Brian Sawyer, Secretary; and Board Members Doug Campbell; Jim Derham; Craig Harrington; Joseph Jaffe; Nancy Maddox; Denise Murphy; Mary Pisarczyk; and Carol Volpe.

    May is National Foster Care Awareness Month. This month is about bringing attention to a cause that impacts over 300 children in Collier County daily.

    Friends of Foster Children Forever received a $65,000 grant from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation for the Academic Mentor Program supporting local foster children in need. Friends of Foster Children Forever understands that the best way for foster children to break the cycle is by receiving a proper education. The Academic Mentor/Tutor Program does exactly that.

    Friends of Foster Children Forever is in need of clothing for its foster children. The Naples non-profit is looking for donations of new clothing in the following sizes: infant (girls & boys), 2T (girls), 3T (girls & boys), 4T (girls & boys), 5T (boys), teen clothing (girls & boys), pajamas (girls & boys).

    Friends of Foster Children Forever received a $500 grant from ALDI for Basic Needs supporting local foster children in need.

  • Friends of Foster Children Forever Scholarship Application Open

    Friends of Foster Children Forever (FFCF) scholarship was established to assist those who are or
    have been in foster care in Collier County obtain a four-year or two-year degree or program certificate after high school graduation. Applications are being accepted now through February 8, 2023, at www.swflscholarships.org.

  • Collier County Foster Children Graduation Rate Surges Past U.S. Average

    Collier County Public Schools recently announced the graduation rate for high school seniors who were in foster care. Reaching a record-breaking 78 percent, this far exceeds the national average of 50 percent. Of the 78 percent, the students who were in the Friends of Foster Children Forever’s tutoring program
    achieved a 100 percent graduation rate.

  • Supported By a Grant from the Collier Community Foundation, Friends of Foster Children Forever’s Academic Mentor Program Continues to Excel

    Friends of Foster Children Forever (FFCF) received a $15,000 grant from the Collier Community Foundation to support its Academic Mentor program.

  • Friends Naples Auto Donation Center Donates $35,000 to Support Foster Children

    Friends of Foster Children Forever (FFCF) announced Naples Auto Donation Center (NADC) donated $35,000 from this year’s car sales to help foster children. The donation will support the tutoring program for children in Collier, Hendry and Glades counties.
